Star Legacy Foundation ~ Stillbirth Research & Education

The Star Legacy Foundation has set out the following priority initiatives for 2011:

Develop a comprehensive fundraising program to support all Foundation initiatives.
Develop an awareness program to encourage pregnant couples to become their baby’s advocate before and after its’ birth.
Support families who have learned that their child will be stillborn or has a condition incompatible with life by providing birth planning services.
Present the first ever International Stillbirth Roundtable bringing together for the first time researchers from around the world that are independently researching their hypotheses regarding the majority of stillbirths that are currently identified as “cause unknown.”
Conduct a research project surveying Mom’s of stillborn children regarding their loss and present the results at the International Stillbirth Roundtable.
Provide educational topics for interested groups on current stillbirth research both online and in lecture format.
